Alterreno was born from a genuine passion for horses and for human beings.

Horse training is, at its core, the education of the rider.

At the heart of this project is Angelika Schneider, founder and trainer, who built the centre with love, vision and a connection with horses recognised by anyone who has observed her in action. Here, the horse is considered a teacher, a companion, a sentient being to be listened to. It is never a tool but an ally on the path to personal and professional growth. Each horse is welcomed into a setting that respects its natural needs, with large paddocks, safe spaces and an ethos of freedom and trust.

For centuries, the horse has accompanied man at every stage of his evolution: it has fought in wars, plowed the land, carried messages, loads, dreams. Without it, we would not be where we are.

At Alterreno, we believe that humanity must give back, today, with respect and awareness, everything it has received. Training new riders means passing on ancient knowledge, a silent language of listening, presence and responsibility. Angelika Schneider calls it her equestrian testament. Nature teaches calm, awareness and real presence. At Alterreno, we promote a conscious, integrated way of living with horses where training is only one part of a larger journey. Here, horses thrive in harmony with the land, attuned to natural rhythms and supported by authentic, evolving relationships. Everything here is inspired by nature, shaped by it and practiced alongside it.
