You have tried to keep going. You have tried to hold it all up. This is different: a gentle day that asks nothing of you, where you can breathe, and be held exactly as you are.

The truth about grief.

There is no timeline you have to keep, and no way to do it wrong. Some days you manage, and then the missing returns, as heavy as ever.

What if you didn’t have to fix any of it?

What if you could simply be present with it, gently, without being strong or finding the words, in a place that asks nothing of you.

That is what this day is for.

A Gentleness You’ll Carry In Your Soul

A quiet you’ll feel again inside you.
A day that returns to mind softly, long after ordinary life resumes.

Daimon™ is not something you explain.
It is something you live.

And long after the day ends,
its calm stays with you.

What is Daimon™?

Daimon™ is a gentle day alongside horses in a quiet Tuscan setting, guided by experienced facilitators.

What makes it gentle is that it asks nothing of you.

You do not have to talk about the loss, or be strong, or hold anything up. There are no roles to keep. Only a quiet space where you can breathe, and be present, exactly as you are.

It suits anyone, at any point in grief. No horse experience is required. You arrive exactly as you are, carrying whatever you carry, and that is enough.

There are no expectations, no “right” way to feel and no pressure. That is what makes it safe and gentle, even when you cannot find the words yourself.

It does not ask you to move on, it gives you space to breathe.

What actually happens?

What You Experience During Daimon™

It meets you exactly where you are: for some it becomes a quiet they had not felt in a long time. For others it is space to be with their sorrow without having to explain it. For many it is simply a day of gentle presence, side by side, away from every demand.

There is nothing to prove and nothing to fix.
Only space. Only time. Only you.

This is what makes it both safe and gentle:
a day that meets you where you are, and stays with you long after it ends.

  • For being held without words
  • For a gentleness you can rest in

“For over twenty years, I have watched horses help people set down the weight they carry. Not through words. Not through advice. Through presence. Through mirror. Through permission to be seen.”

“Grief is one of the heaviest weights a person can hold. A horse does not try to take it from you, it simply stays close, calm and honest, while you breathe. If you are here, carrying a loss, trust that instinct. Something inside you knows you need a gentle place. I would be honoured to hold that space for you.”

Where Daimon™ Is Born

The Approach

Daimon™ was born at Alterreno from observing how horses respond to human presence when there is nothing to perform and nothing to prove. These encounters are not about riding, but about connection, with oneself or with others.

Within a safe and guided setting, horses reflect what is real, allowing calm to emerge naturally. There are no expected outcomes and no pressure to change.
This is why Daimon™ reaches people that words cannot: it adapts to you and meets you exactly where you are.

When we read what people write after their Daimon™ experience, certain words appear again and again

Anna, 47

Carrying the recent loss of her mother, she came to breathe.

Anna arrived not long after her mother’s passing, unsure she should be anywhere at all. She was not looking to feel better, only to have one day where nothing was expected of her. Angelika paired her with a calm mare who stood quietly beside her.

Nothing was asked of Anna that day, no talking it through, no being strong. In the mare’s unhurried presence she let her shoulders down, perhaps for the first time in weeks, and simply breathed.

I didn’t have to explain anything to her.
The mare just stood close, steady, while I let myself feel it.
No one needed me to be okay.
For one afternoon, I could set the weight down.

Paolo, 55

After losing his wife, unsure how to carry the quiet.

Paolo came a season after his wife had died, when the first rush of people had faded and the house had gone silent. He did not want to be fixed. He wanted, he said, somewhere the grief did not have to be hidden.

The horse asked nothing of him but his presence. In that stillness Paolo found he could be with his sorrow without drowning in it, and something in him breathed a little easier.

Everyone kept saying I was doing so well.
That day I didn’t have to do anything at all.
The horse let me just be there with it.
I left feeling a little less alone in it.

Giulia, 33

Grieving a loss she couldn’t find the words for.

Giulia had lost someone suddenly, and months on she still could not speak about it. Friends meant well, but their questions asked more than she could give. Angelika simply invited her to be with a gentle horse, no exercises, no talking.

In the horse’s quiet attention Giulia stopped searching for the right words. There were none, and for once that was allowed. She stood in the silence and let the tears come, unhurried.

I could never find the words, and here I didn’t need to.
The horse didn’t ask me anything.
It just stayed, calm, while I finally let go.
It was the gentlest hour I’d had in a long time.

Marco, 60

Bereaved and quietly exhausted, he came to rest.

Marco had spent months holding his family together through a loss, tending to everyone but himself. He arrived worn thin, half-apologising for taking a day. Angelika chose a still, patient horse, and asked nothing of him.

For a whole day Marco was not the strong one, not the one holding it up. In the horse’s calm company he let himself simply be tired, and simply be there, and it was enough.

I’d been carrying everyone else’s grief and forgetting my own.
The horse didn’t need me to be strong.
It just let me stand there and breathe.
I remembered I was allowed to grieve too.

Sara, 29

Missing someone deeply, she came for a gentle space.

Sara arrived tender and raw, carrying a loss that coloured everything. She did not expect the day to change how she felt, and it did not promise to. She only wanted somewhere soft to land for a while.

Beside a quiet horse, with no roles to keep up, Sara felt the day hold her. Nothing was solved, and nothing needed to be. She left carrying the same love, and a little more peace around it.

I didn’t want to be fixed. I just wanted somewhere kind.
The horse stayed near while I sat with the missing.
No one rushed me through it.
I came away calmer, and gentler with myself.

Davide, 52

Grieving and worn down, he came to feel steadier.

Davide came unsure a day with horses could touch something as deep as his grief. He arrived guarded, mostly to prove to a worried friend that he had tried. Angelika met him with no expectations at all.

The horse asked for nothing but his quiet attention. In that honest, unhurried presence Davide felt the ground steady under him again, not the loss undone, only a little more bearable.

I didn’t think a day could reach something this heavy.
The horse just stood with me in it, patient.
It didn’t try to make it go away.
I drove home feeling steadier on my feet.

F.A.Q.: Everything you may want to know

Is it too soon for me to come?

There is no right timing for grief, and no timeline you have to meet. Some come very soon, some much later, and both are welcome. On the free call we listen to where you are, and if it feels too soon, we will gently say so. Nothing is ever rushed.

Will this take my grief away?

No, and it does not try to. Grief is not a problem to be solved. A day like this will not undo the loss, but many people find it gives them a moment to breathe, to feel held, and to be with their sorrow gently. That is all it offers, and often that is enough.

Will I have to talk about what happened?

Only if you want to. There is nothing you must explain and no story you must tell. Much of the day is quiet, simply being present with the horses. You are met exactly as you are, words or no words.

Is this therapy or grief counselling?

No. We are not therapists or counsellors. Daimon™ is an experiential day with the horses, guided by expert facilitators. It sits alongside professional grief support and never replaces it. If you are working with a therapist or a support service, this can gently complement that.

Do I need horse experience?

None at all. It is about presence, not riding. Everything happens gently on the ground, at your pace.

How much is it, and how does it work?

The Daimon™ is €319, all-inclusive, for one person. It starts with a free call, so you decide only after you have spoken to us. Payment is secure, and the day is freely reschedulable within 12 months, so there is no pressure to be ready on a certain date.

What if I become emotional during the day?

That is completely welcome. Tears, silence, stillness, all of it belongs here. The horses do not mind, and neither do we. You will be held, gently, whatever the day brings.

Where exactly is Alterreno?

Peccioli, Pisa, Tuscany, 75 min from Florence, 35 min from Pisa airport. Easy to reach. Exact address provided upon booking.

Not ready to decide today?

Leave your email and we’ll send the full details and current availability, gently, no pressure.

No spam. Just the information you need, when you need it.

Still have a question? Write to us, we’ll help you decide.

After the experience

The day is complete in itself. There is nothing to continue and nothing to sign up for. Some people return later, others simply carry the quiet with them. Both are equally right. What settles in you is yours to keep.

One gentle conversation is all it takes to begin.

You don’t have to have the right words. You don’t have to be ready to move on. You only have to want a gentle place to breathe.

Start with a free call. No pressure, no commitment.
