You have tried talking. You have tried giving space. This is different: a day that lets you and your son simply be together, until the wall quietly comes down.

The truth about a son who pulls away.

You have tried talking. You have tried patience, and space, and holding your tongue. Sometimes it helps for a day, and then the wall returns.

What if the answer isn’t more words?

What if you could simply be together, without pressure or performance, until your son lets you back in on his own.

That is what this day is for.

An Encounter You’ll Both Carry

A closeness you’ll feel again between you.
A day that returns to mind long after ordinary life resumes.

Daimon Kindred™ is not something you explain.
It is something you live, together.

And long after the day ends,
its echo stays with you both.

What is Daimon™?

Daimon Kindred™ is a shared journey alongside horses in a quiet Tuscan setting, guided by experienced facilitators.

What makes it work for a father and a son is its honesty.

It asks nothing of you but to be present with each other, no talking things through, no fixing, no old roles. Only the conditions for connection to re-emerge, naturally.

It suits any father and any son, at any age. No horse experience is required. You both arrive exactly as you are, and that is enough.

There are no expectations, no “right” outcome and no pressure. That is what makes it safe and gentle, even when words have never come easily between you.

It does not impose itself, it gives you both space to meet again.

What This Day Gives You Both

Closeness you’d let slip.
Presence beyond words.
A day you’ll both carry forever.

What actually happens?

What You and Your Son Experience

It meets you both exactly where you are: for some it dissolves a silence that had grown between you. For others it brings understanding beyond the usual roles. For many it is simply a day of presence, side by side, away from every distraction.

There is nothing to prove and nothing to achieve.
Only space. Only time. Only each other.

This is what makes it both safe and gentle:
a day that meets you and your son where you are, and stays with you long after it ends.

Is This For You and Your Son?

Some days solve a problem.
Others give a father and a son presence, space and care.
Daimon Kindred™ meets you both where you are, without forcing anything.

Daimon Kindred™ is designed for the moments when you and your son need presence more than words, and simply choosing to try is already a step back toward each other.

When he only gives you one word

Fine. Nothing. Whatever. The conversations that used to flow now end before they begin. He is still your son, still under the same roof or a phone call away, but the closeness has slipped somewhere you can’t quite reach.

  • For the silence that grew between you
  • For one-word answers and closed doors
  • For meeting your son beyond the small talk

When you’ve never been good with words

You love him. You have always loved him. But the two of you speak in football scores and passing nods, never in the things that matter. You would say them, if only you knew how.

  • For fathers who feel more than they can say
  • For love that has never found its words
  • For a way to show it, without a speech

When you feel him pulling away

He is growing up, or grown, and building a life you are less and less part of. A quiet fear has settled in, that you are running out of time to really know him. You would do anything, if only you knew what.

  • For the drift you feel but can’t name
  • For before the distance becomes permanent
  • For finding the thread back to each other

“For over twenty years, I have watched horses help people set down the weight they carry. Not through words. Not through advice. Through presence. Through mirror. Through permission to be seen.”

“This is an encounter with truth, your truth, reflected by a being who cannot pretend. If you are here, considering this for you and your son, trust that instinct. Something inside you knows this matters. I look forward to meeting you in the arena.”

Where Daimon™ Is Born

The Approach

Daimon™ was born at Alterreno from observing how horses respond to human presence when there is nothing to perform and nothing to prove. These encounters are not about riding, but about connection, with oneself or with others.

Within a safe and guided setting, horses reflect what is real, allowing clarity to emerge naturally. There are no expected outcomes and no pressure to change.
This is why Daimon™ reaches people that words cannot: it adapts to you and meets you exactly where you are.

When we read what fathers and sons write after their Daimon Kindred™ experience, certain words appear again and again

Marco & Giulio, 60 & 34

A father and his grown son, after years of few words.

Marco and his grown son Giulio loved each other in the quiet, unspoken way of many fathers and sons, rarely in the same room, rarer still in real conversation. A quiet suggestion brought them here.

With the horses there was nothing to prove and no need to talk. Simply doing something together, side by side, said what years of phone calls hadn’t.

My father and I have never been good with words.
That day we didn’t need them.
We just worked with the horse, together.
I drove home feeling closer to him than I have in decades.

Luca & Matteo, 44 & 12

A father and his son, as adolescence began.

Luca sensed his son Matteo pulling away as adolescence began, and didn’t know how to reach him. Rather than force a talk, he chose a day to simply be together.

The horse asked them to cooperate without instructions. In that shared focus the distance quietly closed, and Matteo let his guard down without a single conversation about it.

He was starting to shut me out, and I didn’t know how to reach him.
That day we didn’t talk about feelings, we just worked together.
By the end he was leaning on my shoulder.
Sometimes presence says more than any talk.

Paolo & Andrea, 55 & 22

A father and his son, before he moved abroad.

Paolo and his son Andrea had slipped into short, careful exchanges, the kind that fill a kitchen but say nothing. Andrea was about to move abroad, and Paolo hoped for a few unguarded hours first.

The horse only responded when they moved as a team, and slowly the guardedness fell away. For an afternoon they were simply father and son, laughing again.

He’s about to leave, and I felt I was running out of time.
That day gave us back to each other.
No phones, no arguments, just us and the horse.
I’ll hold onto it long after he’s gone.

Stefano & Davide, 48 & 15

A father and his teenage son, through a difficult year.

Stefano and his fifteen-year-old Davide had spent a year in a cold war of slammed doors and short answers. Working first apart, then together, gave each of them room to be seen beyond the arguments.

By the end of the day something had softened. Stefano saw his son’s strength; Davide met his father as a person, not just the man laying down rules. They left with a place they could return to.

I thought I was losing him to that closed door.
Every talk had become a fight.
That day I saw his strength, and he saw me as a person.
Now, when it’s hard, we know how to come back.

Giovanni & Luca, 66 & 40

A father and his adult son, mending an old distance.

Giovanni and his son Luca had spent years being polite, a distance neither of them had chosen but both had kept. Luca wanted, just once, to sit beside his father with nothing to defend.

In the horse’s calm company the old roles fell away. They were not the disappointed father and the difficult son, just two men who loved each other, present at last.

We’d been circling each other for years.
That day, beside the horse, we finally stopped.
I saw my father, not the old arguments.
It’s a day I’ll treasure for the rest of his life.

Roberto & Tommaso, 42 & 9

A father and his young son, away from the screens.

Between work and tiredness, Roberto and his nine-year-old Tommaso shared plenty of the same room and little real presence. They came for a day away from screens and schedules.

Away from it all, they discovered each other again, curious, playful, fully there. Tommaso led; Roberto followed and simply enjoyed being his dad.

I’m always around him, but rarely truly present.
That day it was just us and a gentle horse.
He was so proud, so alive.
I got a whole day of actually being his dad.

F.A.Q.: Everything you may want to know

What if my son refuses to come?

Many do at first, especially teenage and grown sons. On the free call we help you find a way to invite him that feels safe, not forced, curiosity about the horses often does what persuasion can’t. And if the day isn’t right yet, we will tell you honestly.

Isn’t it too late for us?

It rarely is. We have seen bonds reopen between fathers and sons who hadn’t truly talked in years. The love is usually still there, it just needs a way through that isn’t words.

What if it makes things worse?

It won’t. There is no confrontation, no digging into problems, no blame. The day is gentle and guided, and nobody is ever pushed. At worst you have a calm day together, at best something shifts.

Is this therapy?

No. We are not therapists. Daimon™ is experiential, you and your son are with the horses, guided by expert facilitators. It sits alongside therapy beautifully, and many families come without any.

What ages can take part?

Sons from around 10 are welcome with a parent, and teenagers especially benefit. There is no upper age limit, some of our most moving days are between grown men and their fathers.

Do you need horse experience?

None at all, for either of you. It is about presence, not riding skill. Everything happens on the ground.

How much is it, and how does it work?

The Daimon Kindred™ is €377, all-inclusive, for a father and a son. It starts with a free call, so you decide only after you have spoken to us. Payment is secure, and the day is freely reschedulable within 12 months.

What if it rains?

We have covered areas and adapt the day. Weather is part of it, some of the most powerful days happen in mist or light rain. Only extreme conditions require rescheduling.

Where exactly is Alterreno?

Peccioli, Pisa, Tuscany, 75 min from Florence, 35 min from Pisa airport. Easy to reach. Exact address provided upon booking.

Not ready to decide today?

Leave your email and we’ll send the full details and current availability, gently, no pressure.

No spam. Just the information you need, when you need it.

Still have a question? Write to us, we’ll help you decide.

After the experience

The day is complete in itself. There is nothing to continue and nothing to sign up for. Some families return later, others simply carry the day with them. Both are equally right. What changes between you is yours to keep.

One conversation could change everything.

You don’t have to have the right words. You just have to be willing to try something different.

Start with a free call. No pressure, no commitment.
