The Horse Who Chose Alterreno

4 Kilometers on his own

Lorenzo’s horse didn’t just tolerate Alterreno. The one time he escaped his paddock, he walked 4 kilometers, alone, to reach Angelika.

“Our horse made the choice before we did,” Lorenzo says. “He knew where he belonged.”

What 12 years teaches you

Monica found Angelika online twelve years ago, searching for someone who could help her daughter’s horse after a long injury. What she found was something rarer: professionalism that didn’t compromise, care that didn’t cut corners and a standard she didn’t know existed in Italy.

“At least once a year, our horses spend one or two months at Alterreno,” Monica shares. “And every time, it’s a pleasure, even for us humans, to breathe in such a magical place.”
