Most sales offsites perform.
Horses can’t be closed by it.
This is the honest version.

A full day in the Tuscan hills where your sales team works with horses on the ground, no riding, no role-play. Selling is presence and trust, not a script, and a horse reads congruence the way a prospect does. So how your reps show up under pressure, and whether they truly pull together, shows up as it really is. Then we turn what surfaces into a shared reference your team takes back to the pipeline. This is Horse Power Team™.

You have tried the SKO ballroom, the incentive trip, the sales training. This is different: a day that shows your reps how they actually show up under pressure, honestly, and gives you a shared reference you can return to when the quarter gets real.

The truth about most sales incentives.

The kickoff energy, the pep talk, the spiff, the leaderboard reset. It lifts the room for a week, and by the next forecast nothing has really changed. It was designed to fire people up, not to reveal how your team actually sells together.

What if the exercise couldn’t be gamed?

A horse doesn’t respond to titles, quota, confidence, or the right words. It responds only to what is real, so the way your reps actually operate under pressure, good and difficult, comes to the surface where you can work with it.

That is what this day is for.

A Day Your Sales Team Will Carry

A shared reference you’ll point back to on the next call.
A day that returns to mind long after the kickoff ends.

Horse Power Team™ is not something you pitch.
It is something your team lives, together.

And long after the day ends,
its lessons stay in how you sell.

What is Horse Power Team™?

Horse Power Team™ is a guided day of ground work with horses in a quiet Tuscan setting, led by experienced facilitators.

What makes it work for a sales team is its honesty.

It asks your reps to coordinate, read the room and stay present with a horse that reflects exactly what they do, no titles, no scripts, no quota to hide behind. The way they really sell together simply appears, and the team can see it clearly.

It suits any sales team, at any stage, from new hires finding their feet to a senior team under real quota pressure. No horse experience is required. Everyone arrives exactly as they are, and that is the point.

There is no “right” outcome and no one is put on the spot. That is what makes it safe and useful: the horses reveal what is real, and we help your team make sense of it, together.

It does not lecture your reps, it shows them how they operate under pressure, and gives them something to build on.

What This Day Gives Your Sales Team

Authentic presence you can’t fake in a room.
Trust within a competitive team, felt not claimed.
A shared reference you’ll carry back to the pipeline.

What actually happens?

What Your Sales Team Experiences

It meets your team exactly where it is: for some it breaks the quiet rivalry the leaderboard had hardened between reps. For others it surfaces how people really lead a conversation, and hold their nerve, under pressure. For many it becomes a shared language, a moment everyone was in the room for, that they can point back to on the next call.

There is nothing to perform and no deal to win.
Only how your reps really operate, made visible, and worked with.

This is what makes it both safe and useful:
a day that meets your team where it is, and stays with it long after the kickoff ends.

When Your Reps Compete, But Don’t Pull Together

Some days deliver a sales training.
This one gives your reps an honest mirror of how they operate under pressure.
Horse Power Team™ meets your team where it is, without forcing anything.

Horse Power Team™ is designed for the moments when a sales team needs real insight more than another kickoff speech, and choosing to look honestly at how you sell together is already a step forward.

A sales kickoff with substance

You want more than a hotel ballroom, a number on a slide, and a motivational speaker everyone forgets by lunch. You want your reps to see how they actually show up under pressure, and to leave the SKO with something they can name and use on their next call.

  • For sales kickoffs and quarterly resets
  • For presence and pressure, made visible
  • For a kickoff that outlasts the day

A team competing instead of collaborating

The leaderboard drives everyone, and quietly it drives them apart. Reps guard accounts, hoard tactics, and score points off each other. You need the competitive energy pointed at the market, not inward, and you need the trust that lets a strong team pull together.

  • For quota-driven teams turned inward
  • For rebuilding trust without losing edge
  • For competing together, not against

New reps who need to belong fast

New hires, a merged sales org, a fresh pod ramping into a hard quarter. Everyone is polite and no one quite knows how the others sell. A shared, level experience builds a common language faster than any onboarding deck.

  • For new joiners and mixed seniority
  • For faster ramp and real belonging
  • For a starting point the team shares

“For over twenty years, I have watched horses show people the truth about how they connect. Not through words. Not through advice. Through presence. Through mirror. Through honesty a team cannot argue with.”

“A team can’t perform for a horse. It reflects exactly how your reps show up, whether they trust each other, and how they hold up under pressure. If you are here, considering this for your sales team, trust that instinct. I look forward to meeting you in the arena.”

Where Horse Power Team™ Is Born

The Approach

Horse Power Team™ was born at Alterreno from observing how horses respond to human presence when there is nothing to perform and nothing to prove. These encounters are not about riding, but about connection, trust and communication between people.

Within a safe and guided setting, horses reflect what is real, allowing clarity to emerge naturally. There are no expected outcomes and no pressure to perform.
This is why Horse Power Team™ reaches sales teams that trainings cannot: it adapts to your group and meets it exactly where it is.

VP Sales, SaaS

A quota-driven team of 14 that had turned the leaderboard on each other.

The number was being hit, but the team was fraying. Reps guarded accounts, kept their best plays to themselves, and traded quiet digs in the pipeline reviews. Standard kickoffs had come and gone with a lot of energy and no lasting change.

With the horses there was nowhere to hide behind a title or a target. Who over-controlled, who pushed too hard, who read the room and who bulldozed it, all of it surfaced within minutes, and the team could finally see it in themselves rather than in each other.

We were hitting quota and quietly tearing each other apart.
The horse only responded when we stopped competing and coordinated.
Reps saw their own patterns instead of blaming the next desk.
We left with language we still use in pipeline reviews.

Sales Director, industrial

A long-serving field team, worn down after a brutal quarter.

A punishing quarter had left the team efficient and exhausted. They closed deals and connected little, and the goodwill that used to carry them was thinning under the pressure of the next target.

The day asked for presence, not push. Standing with an animal that responds to calm rather than urgency, the reps remembered how to slow down, read what was in front of them, and lead a conversation without forcing it.

We were closing deals and completely running on empty.
The horse didn’t reward pressure, it rewarded attention.
For once nobody was chasing a number, they were just present.
Something in how we handle each other, and clients, shifted after that.

Head of Revenue, scale-up

Two sales pods newly merged, polite but not yet one team.

Fast growth had joined two selling styles with different habits and a fair amount of quiet suspicion about who owned what. On paper they were one revenue org. In practice they were two teams, being careful, going into a make-or-break quarter.

Working the same horse in turn, they had to agree, hand over, and trust each other in real time. The awkwardness had nowhere to sit, and a common way of selling began to form.

We were one revenue team on the org chart and two in the field.
The horse forced us to actually rely on reps we barely knew.
By the afternoon the two pods had stopped keeping score.
It gave us a shared starting point we didn’t have before.

Chief Revenue Officer, fintech

A small, intense sales team heading into a make-or-break year.

Eight people carrying enormous quota, moving fast and rarely stopping to check how they sold together. Small frictions between hunters and closers were starting to cost real deals.

Away from the dashboard and the forecast, the horses reflected exactly how the team handled pressure: who tightened up, who went quiet, who tried to force the close. Naming it calmly, together, changed how they approached the pressure waiting back in the pipeline.

Under quota pressure we defaulted to bad habits without seeing them.
The horse showed us our stress responses in real time.
We talked about how we sell together, not just what we booked.
That conversation was overdue, and this made it easy.

Sales Enablement Lead, professional services

A cohort of new reps ramping ahead of a demanding quarter.

A wave of new hires needed to belong to the team, and fast, before the pressure of a hard quarter set in. They wanted to understand how each rep showed up under pressure early, not three deals too late.

The horses gave immediate, unbiased feedback on presence and clarity. Each rep saw their own default, the one who over-talks, the one who backs off, the one who forces it, and the group discussed it openly, without defensiveness.

We wanted new reps to belong before the hard quarter hit us.
The horse read their intent, not their pitch or their tenure.
Everyone recognised their own pattern, and nobody could argue with it.
They came away calmer, more honest, and part of the team.

F.A.Q.: Everything you may want to know

How many reps can take part?

Horse Power Team™ works well for sales teams from 4 to 20. The day is designed around your numbers and your goals, so tell us the size of your team when you request a quote and we will shape it accordingly.

Is it physical, and is it a competition?

No. It is not a fitness challenge and it is not a contest with a winner. Everything happens on the ground, on foot, at a calm pace, and the point is presence, trust and how your reps operate together, not who scores highest.

Is there any riding?

There is no riding at all. Everything happens on foot, with your feet on the ground. It is about communication, trust and presence under pressure, so no equestrian experience is needed.

How does the assessment work?

Before the day we hold a short assessment call, included in the €180 assessment fee, to understand your sales team, your quarter and what you want to achieve. This is what lets us tailor the day rather than run a generic format.

How does invoicing and VAT work?

The price is €1.980 per day, with VAT and the assessment included. We invoice your company directly and provide everything your finance team needs.

Can the day run in English or Italian?

Both. Facilitation is available in English and Italian, so mixed or international sales teams are entirely at home here.

How far in advance should we book?

We keep corporate availability intentionally limited, so earlier is better, especially if you are tying the day to a specific kickoff date. Request a quote and we will confirm what is currently open.

Can it be part of our sales kickoff?

Yes. Many teams build the day into an SKO or a quarterly offsite as the moment that makes the rest land. It is a full day, because the depth of what surfaces, and the debrief that makes it useful, need the time.

Ready when you are? Request a quote, or write to us and we’ll help you decide.

After the day

The debrief closes the loop, so your team leaves with a shared reference and practical takeaways, not just a good kickoff memory. Some teams return later for another day, others simply carry what surfaced into how they sell. Both are equally right. What changes between your reps is yours to keep.

One honest day could change how your sales team pulls together.

You don’t need the perfect brief. You just have to be willing to see how your reps really operate under pressure.

Start with a quote and an assessment call. No obligation.
