Vera Munderloh’s passion for horses began in childhood through classical dressage and side-saddle riding. In 2006, she started professional training under Anja Beran and became her principal rider and trainer at Gut Rosenhof for nineteen years. Vera trained horses at all levels from beginners to advanced haute école movements. She also competes in Working Equitation at Masterclass level, demonstrating how classical principles improve harmony, responsiveness and versatility in horses of all breeds. Her work emphasises patience, precision and respect for each horse’s development.
Some riders spend a lifetime chasing what Vera Munderloh understood as a child: true horsemanship is not about dominance but dialogue. That grace, lightness and harmony are the inevitable result of training done right.
Her passion for horses began in earliest childhood. It was her discovery of classical dressage and side-saddle riding that ignited something deeper: a fascination with the old masters, with the language of Nuno Oliveira and the principles that had guided horsemen for centuries. She studied their works as living philosophy. In 2006, she made a decision that would define her career: to learn the art of riding professionally, from scratch, under Anja Beran, one of Europe's most respected voices in classical dressage.
For nineteen years, Vera served as Anja Beran's head rider and trainer at Gut Rosenhof, one of the world's most prestigious classical dressage training centres. There, she accompanied and carried out the training of countless horses from young horses taking their first steps under saddle to advanced performers mastering haute école movements like piaffe, passage and levade. It was an education in patience, precision and the profound responsibility of shaping a horse's physical and emotional development.
Vera's expertise extends far beyond the dressage arena. Recognising that solid classical training is the foundation for all riding disciplines, she began competing in Working Equitation, a demanding sport that combines dressage, trail obstacles, speed and cattle work. Her success has been remarkable. Competing up to Masterclass level, she has proven time and again that horses trained with classical principles, regardless of breed, can excel in versatility, responsiveness and joy of performance.
