TERMS & CONDITIONS

Alterreno General Conditions

By enrolling in one of the Alterreno packages (Classic™, Heritage™, Custom™, Old Soul™) the owner agrees to the following terms.

1. Feeding and Nutritional Management
The Alterreno team retains full and exclusive authority to design and adjust the horse’s feeding plan based on veterinary and osteopathic assessments and daily observation. Any owner request may be considered only if consistent with the horse’s health and welfare and must be approved by the facility manager.

2. Medication and Supplement Administration
All administration of medication, supplements and treatments is the sole responsibility of Alterreno staff and will be carried out in accordance with prescriptions issued by qualified veterinary professionals. The owner gives prior consent for staff to administer necessary treatments without requiring separate approval in each instance.

3. Veterinary and Extraordinary Interventions
In the event of medical needs or emergencies Alterreno will manage all scheduling and coordination for veterinary, osteopathic, dental or other extraordinary treatments. The Advanced Provisioning Allowance (A.P.A.) as specified in the package details will be used to cover these expenses without requiring prior authorisation from the owner unless the annual allowance is close to being exhausted. In that case it must be replenished in full within four working days of written notification. The owner will be promptly informed of the circumstances and actions taken.

4. Communication and Owner Interaction
Alterreno provides structured reports on the horse’s health, training and behaviour depending on the selected package. A dedicated communication channel (email or portal) will be available for enquiries and updates and Alterreno will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

5. Operational Trust
Alterreno’s approach is built on trust and professional responsibility. By boarding a horse with Alterreno the owner delegates daily decisions to a competent team whose priority is the animal’s welfare. Continuous interference, operational micromanagement or invasive behaviour may be grounds for early termination of the service agreement. In such case all deposits are non-refundable.

6. Payment Terms
6.1 Reservation Deposit
6.1.1 To reserve a space for the horse(s) a non-refundable deposit equal to 30% of the yearly horse-boarding fee must be paid.
6.1.2 The remaining amount is payable in advance on a monthly basis.
6.2 A.P.A. Deposit – Nature and Purpose
6.2.1 A refundable deposit known as the A.P.A. (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is required. The amount is determined according to the value of the selected horse-boarding package.
6.2.2 The A.P.A. must be paid together with the rental balance and is due 30 days before the start date.
6.2.3 The A.P.A. covers additional services required for the horse during its stay including additional meals, integrations, medications, transfers and any other necessary services managed by Alterreno.
6.2.4 Charges for these services are deducted from the A.P.A. Any unused balance will be refunded when the contract ends.
6.3 Annual A.P.A. Replenishment
6.3.1 At the end of the calendar year and no later than 20 December the owner may replenish the A.P.A.
6.3.2 The A.P.A. must reach a value equal to 20% of the total yearly horse-boarding fee.

6.4 Non-Refundable Payments
6.4.1 All payments other than the A.P.A. are non-refundable.

For horses already known to Alterreno, including horses bred by or previously trained or hosted by Angelika Schneider, short-term livery may be arranged, subject to availability. Short-term livery applies to stays of less than one month and requires a minimum stay of two weeks.
Rates for short-term livery are calculated on a daily basis. The daily rate is EUR 50 plus VAT (22%) for the Classic™ package and EUR 75 plus VAT (22%) for the Heritage™ package.

6.7 Minimum Stay and Pricing for New Horses
For horses entering Alterreno for the first time, a minimum boarding period of one month is required. In this case, the monthly fee is calculated according to the current price list for the selected package and increased by 25%.

Participants must follow all staff instructions and safety rules at all times. ASD ALTERRENO reserves the right to stop or end the experience without refund if a participant’s behaviour creates a safety risk to people or horses.

21. Booking and payment
Some experiences may require prepayment or a deposit to secure the booking. The applicable amount and due date will be communicated at the time of booking.

22. Use of prepaid payments as credit
If a client is unable to attend on the booked date any prepaid payments (including the experience price if paid in advance) may be held as credit and used towards a rescheduled date or another eligible experience subject to availability. Credit is non-transferable unless ASD ALTERRENO agrees otherwise in writing.

23. Cancellation policy

25.3. Please note that for clients taking part in Alterreno’s transformative experiences the cost of this membership is included in the price of the experience.

26. Liability and assumption of risk
Interaction with animals and being around horses involves inherent risks (including slips, falls, sudden movement and unpredictable behaviour). Participants acknowledge these risks and agree to take reasonable care and follow instructions.

27. Privacy and data
Personal data and documents provided for association and certification will be processed for administrative and compliance purposes in line with applicable privacy rules.

28.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by Italian law.
28.2 Any dispute arising out of or linked to these Terms and Conditions shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Italian courts competent for the location of Alterreno’s registered office unless mandatory consumer protection rules state otherwise.
