Artistry™ marks the culmination of the BHS certification pathway. Students show refined classical technique, coherent coaching skill and sound business understanding. The Structure
Programme

A four-week residential programme preparing for BHS Stage 4 certification and advanced coaching qualifications. Advanced stable management covering yard operations, staff management, legal compliance and financial planning. Refined classical riding technique emphasising collection, advanced lateral work and complex combinations. Coaching development focused on establishing a personal teaching style and analytic assessment skills. Prerequisite: completion of Roundness™ or equivalent BHS Stage 3 certification.

Daily Schedule: around eight hours per day, six days a week, following a structured curriculum
Small Cohorts: four to eight participants, ensuring personalised attention throughout the programme
Personal Support: tutor, butler service, cook service with meals and beverages included during the days of training

Core Focus Areas

The programme develops refined classical technique showing collection, complex lateral movements and precise use of aids. Advanced work includes half-pass, pirouette preparation and flying changes. The focus is lightness, balance and harmony between horse and rider. Jumping technique progresses through complex combinations, related distances and adjustability. Students build feel for collection and an understanding of biomechanics that helps horses carry themselves well while staying sound and willing.

Development

This four-week pathway builds the full range of senior professional skills needed for high-level equestrian work. You begin with practical business operations then move into yard management with riding, where you handle daily care and bring horses from early schooling to competitive readiness. The programme then shifts to applied coaching, guiding riders towards defined performance standards across the main disciplines. It concludes with advanced horse care that focuses on welfare, conditioning and informed management of horses working in demanding environments.

STRUCTURE:
Week 1: Professional Operations- Work on practical business leadership, clear communication and planning aims that support long-term equestrian work
Week 2: Yard Management with Riding- Study the running of a modern yard, daily care routines and the training of horses from early schooling to competitive readiness in your chosen discipline. Practical work includes progressive schooling and lunge-based development
Week 3: Applied Coaching- Develop the ability to coach riders towards defined competitive standards across dressage, show jumping or cross-country, using structured session design and accurate technical feedback
Week 4: Advanced Horse Care- Explore the management needs of a variety of horses, including those in performance programmes, with attention to welfare, conditioning and informed decision-making in daily care
